Why do we fast on the day of ‘Ashoora’?

Fasting ‘Ashoora’ expiates for the past year. The Prophet said: “Fasting ‘Ashoora’ I hope Allaah will expiate thereby for the year that came before it.”

Why should we read Quran? 

The Prophet (SallaAllahu ‘alayhi wasallam) said, “The best among you (Muslims) are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.” And said, “Verily actions are but by intentions, and every person shall have (be rewarded for) what they intended” [Reported in Bukhari & Muslim].

Abu Bakr As Siddiq was always a very close Companion of the Prophet SAW, he knew him better than any other man. He knew how honest and upright the Prophet was.

He was indeed the first adult male to accept Islam.

Voluntary Charity (Sadaqah)
Voluntary Charity is anything given as a means of getting closer to Allah, the Most High, in ways other than what is obligatory.

Seeking Knowledge – The Way to Paradise 

The Prophet, may the mercy and blessings of Allah be upon him, said in an authentic narration (hadeeth):
“Seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim.” {Al-Tirmidhi}

The Prophet peace and blessings be upon him said, “There is no deed that is better in the sight of Allah or more greatly rewarded than a good deed done in the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah”. He was asked, “Not even Jihad for the sake of Allah?”

Surah Yusuf teaches us what to do in difficult times.
The verses from Surah Yusuf teach us the steadfastness of faith, how to keep one’s trust in Allah and to exercise patience.

Almost every day in our life, we are faced with the task of making a decision between two or more choices. Our beloved Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) taught us what to do and clearly outlined the solution. This solution is called Salatul Istikharah.

Salah was the first command in Islam, it was the last will of the Prophet (SAW), and it is the first act that we will be judged by on the Day of Judgement.

Importance of Salah in the life of every Muslim:

Morning and Evening Zikr are the supplications that are recited daily after Fajr prayer (before sunrise) and after Salat Al Asr (before sunset).

If we need ease, protection, and facilitation in everything we do,  we should always remember to recite the following supplications which are from the Quran and sunnah of the prophet (PUH).
