Mother of the Quran
At-Tirmidhi records on the authority of Abu Hurayrah who said that the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said, [The chapter commencing with],”All praises and thanks are due to Allah the Lord of the worlds” is the Mother of the Quran

According to the prophet (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), Surah Al-Fatihah is considered as “the greatest Surah” of the Quran

This story is a reminder of the power of saying Istighfar (seeking forgiveness) frequently. Let’s remember that the prophet (s.a.w.s.) used to say Istighfar frequently during the day.

Trust in Allah

And He will provide him from [sources] he could never imagine. And whoever puts their trust in Allāh, then He will suffice him. Verily, Allāh will accomplish His purpose. Indeed, Allāh has set a measure for all things.  Al-Qur’ān, 65:3.

Mankind was one nation, believing in Tawheed, then they differed. Some of them believed and some disbelieved. So Allaah sent the Prophets with glad tidings and warnings, so whoever believes will enter Paradise and whoever disbelieves will enter Hell.

Khalifa Abu Bakr As-Siddiq

After the deaths of Abu Talib and Khadija when the Holy Prophet felt sad and disconsolate, and things for Islam appeared to be dark, the Holy Prophet was uplifted to the Heavens, and there he was assured of the destiny of Islam.

Almighty Allah also revealed: And surely, We created you (your father Adam) and then gave you shape (the noble shape of a human being), then We told the angels, “Prostrate to Adam; and they prostrated, except Iblis, he refused to be of those who prostrate.”

Advice to ‘Umar ibn ‘Abdul-‘Aziz from Al-Hasan al-Basri

When ‘Umar ibn ‘Abdul-‘Aziz became Caliph, he wrote to Al-Hasan al-Basri to give him an advice him and to write him the description of a just Imam, and Al-Hasan wrote him:
“Know, Commander of the Believers….

Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) said:

Gratitude may be in the heart, in submission and humility; in the tongue, in praise and acknowledgement; and in the physical faculties, by means of obedience and submission.
