If you want something to work, then make a plan!

The month of Ramadan is a very special month with very special opportunities too in. Quran was sent to the Prophet Mohammed in this holy month, Allah said in Surah Al-Baqarah, Aya 185, (The month of Ramadan in which was revealed the Quran, a guidance for mankind and clear proofs for the guidance and the criterion. So whoever of you sights the month, he must observe Saum (fasts) that month). The companions and the righteousness predecessors for 6 months before Ramadan, used to pray to Allah to make them witness the next Ramadan, and they spent the next 6 months asking Allah to accept their Ramadan. Here are some points that i ask Allah they will be beneficial for me and you.

Sincere Intention

If you want to get ready for Ramadan, then you have to start with pure and sincere intentions. Setting intentions define your plans for this month would help you to make the best of use during for the 30 days. We need to set our hearts to worship Allah, increase good deeds, abandon bad deeds, and spare no effort to invest every moment in pleasing Allah.

Sincere Repentance

Start Ramadan with a mindset that this month is your last chance or your only path to Jannah, so how your reaction will be? Make this month a fresh start for the year, and you decide to leave what displeases Allah and choose what makes you closer to Allah. Repentance is obligatory in all times and from all sins. The burden of sins will make you more heavier on your path to Allah. Also, it will darken your heart and mind. Your sins will prevent you from enjoying seasons of the good deeds. Start with some practical steps, such as making Istigfar and Duas, closing all gates that are opened to sinful deeds, etc.

Question, Why Ramadan!

If you want to know the answer then you have to read and listen more. Reading more and listening to lectures that explain why Ramadan will motivate you. When you understand that these days are “Fixed number of days” (Surah Al-Baqarah, 184), you will try to remove any obstacles that hinder your progress in Ramadan. These days leave so fast, so only wins who is best ready. Not to mention, how much it is important to study the ruling of fasting, to learn what invalid your Siyam (fasting), and how to avoid all the nullification.

Goals for ramadan

Your goals require a plan from you. It is simple, the numbers of  Khatamah (reading the whole Quran) you want to finish and your timetable to achieving it. Which Masjids will you head to in order to perform the night prayers? Some may prefer to follow this Imam than another one in prayers. All of these choices must be picked before the month of Ramadan and not to wait for its first days to decide how you will live your month of Ramadan. Are you ready to abandon all gossip, not to watch TV programs, with an exception to the beneficial programs, and to only worship Allah? You need to answer these questions and be proactive before Ramadan comes and passes by quickly.

We pray that Allah safeguard us for Ramadan, safeguard Ramadan for use and accept it from us. O the most merciful of all those who show mercy.
