Policy for Group Class Teachers

Group classes are held for set periods and are designed for different age groups, including adults, teenagers, or children. These classes include multiple participants, with the number of participants varying based on the course topic and type.

Teachers must follow these guidelines to ensure each class is delivered with quality, professionalism, and consistency.

1. General Responsibilities

  • Punctuality:
Teachers must be on time for every session. Before agreeing to teach a course, teachers should ensure they are available for all scheduled dates, as canceling classes is generally not permitted.
  • Class Duration:
Teachers must deliver the full session length without going over or finishing early, to maintain consistency in each student’s learning experience.
  • Classes Number:
Teachers should commit to the number of the classes without increasing or decreasing, while making sure that every lesson will be explained in its specified class.
  • Preparation:
Teachers should thoroughly prepare in advance. This includes testing the lesson plan beforehand to make sure the content and activities fit well within the time allowed and are suitable for the students.
  • Arriving Early:
Teachers should log in to the class at least 5 minutes early to confirm that all materials and equipment are ready and working properly. Teachers should join using only one device to avoid any audio or technical issues.
  • Question Time:
Leave the last 5 minutes of each session for students’ questions. This allows students to clarify any doubts.

2. Course Material Preparation

  • Course Outline:
Prepare a clear course outline that covers the main topics and goals for each lecture. This helps guide the course and ensures all learning objectives are met.

  • Course Title: [Insert Course Title Here]
  • Objective: By the end of this course, students will be able to [list the main learning goals here].

  • Presentation Guidelines:
To create a professional and effective presentation:

    • Learn the Basics: Start by reading articles or watching videos on how to create engaging and professional presentations.
    • Clarity and Simplicity: Use short bullet points instead of paragraphs, focusing on key ideas to help students retain information.
    • Consistent Background: Choose a simple, consistent background that is appropriate for the topic to keep the slides looking professional and easy to read.
    • Consistent Formatting: Use a clean, readable font (such as Arial or Calibri) and maintain the same font size and style across all slides. Titles should be larger to stand out.
    • Visuals and Examples: Include relevant images, diagrams, or examples to explain key points. Avoid adding too much information to each slide to keep them clear.
    • Engagement Elements: You may need to add interactive elements, like questions or quick activities, to keep students interested.
    • Add Animation: Enhance your presentation by adding animations to your slides for better engagement.
  • Quizzes and Preparation:
    • Create a short quiz for each lecture to reinforce learning and check students’ understanding. Google Forms is recommended for its simplicity and accessibility.
    • Question Types: Use multiple-choice questions that are clear and can be completed quickly.
    • Advance Preparation: Ensure that both the presentation and quizzes are fully prepared and ready before the scheduled course time.

3. Class Recording

  • Recording Requirement:
All group classes should be recorded and shared with students afterward to support review and reinforce learning.
  • Recording on Zoom:
Teachers are expected to record the session directly to the Zoom cloud to make sharing easy. Here’s how to do this:

    • Start the meeting, then click “Record” at the bottom of the screen.
    • Select “Record to the Cloud” to save the recording online.
    • After class, we will add the recording to the class summary so it will be accessible to students.

4. Technical Preparedness

  • Internet Connection:
Teachers should ensure they have a stable internet connection to prevent interruptions.
  • Camera Requirements:
Male teachers are required to keep their cameras on during the class to present a professional and engaging appearance.
